Inside the NIO x Teeling Whiskey Box
Boulevardier: Inspired by the whiskey drinker’s favourite pre-dinner aperitivo, Select liqueur and Campari bring a bitter, slightly herbal base note to this 1930’s icon. Antica Formula vermouth enhances the creaminess and lingering allspice notes of Teeling Small Batch to create a bittersweet yet rounded cocktail, ideal for patrons who love a warming aperitivo by the fire.
Irish Emerald: Teeling Single Grain features subtle red fruit and berry flavours from maturation in ex-Cabernet Sauvignon barrels, which gives this fresh take on a Manhattan an unusual extra layer of sweetness. Maraschino and Cocchi Red Vermouth give the cocktail body and richness, while Noilly Prat lends a dry and slightly bitter orange finish. A complex and beautifully balanced cocktail for patrons looking for a whiskey drink to move them into Spring.
Herbal Penicillin: A fresh and spicy take on the Irish Penicillin with the award-winning Teeling Small Batch Whiskey. Subtle floral notes of the Teeling are elegantly complemented by the vibrant freshness of Chartreuse, while honey and ginger lend a satisfying depth of flavour and spice that go hand in hand with this warming whiskey. For those of you looking for your new favourite Whiskey Sour, look no further.
Old Fashioned: The Teeling Single Grain Old Fashioned opts for honey syrup instead of sugar syrup to elevate the fruitiness coming from Teeling’s Cabernet Sauvignon barrel-aged whiskey. Red berries meet a light richness from the honey that creates a truly refined Old Fashioned with a velvety mouthfeel; an elegant yet simple version of the Old Fashioned that’s perfect for sipping year round.
Teeling Irish Whiskey
The Dublin born-and-bred Teeling Irish Whiskey traces its roots back as far as 1782, creating unconventional small batch whiskeys that have been a firm favourite among whiskey drinkers for generations. After distilling ceased temporarily in 1987, Teeling Whiskey was reborn nine years ago and has since raised the bar for Irish Whiskey with over 300 international awards. Their flagship whiskey, Teeling Small Batch Irish Whiskey, is matured in ex-bourbon casks to bring extra richness to the roasted caramel and subtle coffee flavours given from corn and barley. Creamy flavours reminiscent of apple pie and fresh fruit give way to gentle allspice notes, creating a rich and subtly spicy blend. The Teeling Single Grain Whiskey on the other hand, is matured in Californian Cabernet Sauvignon barrels giving rich, toasted caramel notes a refined red berry profile and a unique dry finish.
